Ringkasan program

This program is designed for the gifted performer who also has a special interest in sharing their musical expertise through teaching music in elementary or secondary schools. The aim of the professional preparation program is to impart to prospective teachers in the knowledge, skills and attitudes that are necessary to the effective teaching of music. Graduates of the program will be certified to teach music K-12 in Maryland and in all other states with which Maryland shares reciprocity. This is a performance degree program with majors in keyboard instruments, orchestral instruments, early music instruments, guitar, voice, jazz, and composition. With appropriate education courses, the bachelor's program can lead to a degree in music education (in most cases combined with a performer's certificate).

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants should be a graduate of an accredited high school or present evidence of equivalent study. Each applicant whose native language is not English must present a score from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Scores of at least 550 from paper-based, 213 from the computer- based or 79 from the internet-based test are expected from the undergraduate applicants.
