Ringkasan program

The program emphasis on scholarship and publication facilitates active engagement in broader conversations within the discipline, an engagement that enhances its profile beyond UNT while enriching its service to the university. The interface between research, performance, and teaching finds an immediate expression in the graduate programs supported by the area. This interface remains evident through an array of courses in music history aimed at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students from throughout the College of Music and across campus. These courses are diverse in their approaches and perspectives yet share a common focus on music as a set of social practices. They encourage critically informed composing, performing, and hearing by presenting music as the product of all three culturally situated activities.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must have graduated from an accredited high school and strongly recommend that students take the following classes in high school. Students should have a strong ‘B’ average and have completed three units of English and two units each of solid mathematics, social science and natural science. Students should have a minimum combined SAT (combined critical reading/verbal and math) score of 1180 or ACT composite of 26. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
