This program is designed to combine a deep knowledge of the pressing environmental issues of the 21st century with the benefits of a fast-track general education curriculum geared for adults.Students can earn credit while contributing to community organizations in meaningful ways. The Chicago region has numerous organizations engaged in sustainability, providing opportunities for students to begin their sustainability careers. Graduates with training in sustainability and other environmental areas are well prepared for careers in a host of fields in natural science, social science, humanities, business and more. Sustainability is an issue that will grow in importance in the coming decades, and all sectors of the economy will continue to seek employees, professionals and leaders who are conversant in its many aspects and implications. Since 1966, the Bachelor of Professional Studies has been one of the nation’s most respected and innovative time-shortened degree programs for adult students. The BPS degree program: is a fully accredited undergraduate degree program designed for adults 24 years of age or older, is taught by distinguished faculty dedicated to adult students and integrates academic advising from faculty throughout the program.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or a General Educational Diploma (GED) from an appropriately accredited institution or college. Students must have minimum TOEFL score of 550 on paper based, 213 on computer based along with 4.5 or higher on the (TWE) Test of Written English or IELTS score of 6.5 on both the overall band and academic writing sections.
