This program is designed to prepare students for a career that encompasses the rapid advances in information technology while becoming more familiar with business. Students in this program must complete ten courses for the major (five upper level accounting course, four upper level information systems courses, and one upper level law course). Student’s wishing to pursue the certified public accounting examination, may in addition to this program apply for acceptance in Fordham’s Dual Degree (150 credit hour) programs, which when taken in conjunction with the approved programs and courses will allow a student to sit for the certified public accounting examination. Fordham University was the first school in New York State to have its program licensed under the 150-hour requirement. For further information, see the section on the dual degree BS/MBA program. Admission Requirements are as follows: Applicants need to score 90+ above on the IBT, 230+ on the CBT, 575+ on the PBT, or 7.0+ on the IELTS. Scores of SAT, ACT TOEFL or IELTS are also required. As an alternative to submitting the TOEFL or IELTS results, applicants can also choose to take the Fordham University ESL placement evaluation at the Institute of American Language and Culture (IALC) at the Lincoln Center campus. If applicable, also provide any national testing results, for example, GCSE, CXC, ICSE results or projected results for IB, A levels, etc. Special Program Requirements: Appplicants must have a degree from an accredited college or university with a major or concentration in the language the student wished to teach (or equivalent); Candidates entering for programs other than Latin must pass the Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) and Written Proficiency Test, For arabic and Mandarin, the minimum score required is "Intermediate-High"; for all other languages the minimum required is "Advanced-Low." The WPT is not cruuently required for Modern Greek.
