The School of Natural and Behavioral Sciences (SNBS) at William Carey University strives to improve the scientific literacy of all WCU students by providing a number of excellent opportunities for comprehensive undergraduate and graduate education within a Christian environment. The faculty and staff of SNBS are talented, cohesive, and compassionate Christian individuals who value the roles as mentors and take serious the WCU commitment to foster student excellence. The students are challenged to expand their analytical skills, gain hands-on experience within a number of field settings, and develop a spirit of service that will benefit the WCU and surrounding community.

The University accommodates its students in seven of its residence halls out of which Bass Hall, Ross Hall, Johnson Hall and Byrd Hall are dedicated to women and Bryant Hall, Polk Hall and Braswell Hall are dedicated to men. The residence halls not only provide the students a shelter to stay, but also give them the following services. Laundry: Each resident has access to a laundry facility, free of charge. Residents must provide their own detergent and softener (no bleach). Wireless Internet: Every residence hall is equipped with wireless internet. To set their computer to automatically log onto a wireless network, instructions will be distributed by the Information Technology team. Cable: Each room in every dorm is equipped with a cable hook up. TVs are not provided, except in lounges and lobbies. Telephone: Each room in every dorm (except for Byrd and Braswell) is equipped with a phone jack. In Byrd and Braswell, telephones are located in the lounges on each floor. Telephones and cords are not provided. Once connected the resident is able to make free local calls and calls using a long distance card. Long distance calls are not free. Student Email: Each student is provided with a free email account through Windows Live. Their email address can be found on their schedule. Instructions for setting up the student email will be available in the student life office.
