This specialization course focuses on business skills and health care knowledge, a sought-after combination in the health care field. Designed around national industry standards, the curriculum will help students to build foundational business skills in management, marketing, human resources, communication and finance and increase their knowledge of quality assurance, risk management, health care laws and regulations and other information important to managing within a health care environment. People likely to choose this specialization include technicians or professionals in health care or related fields who want to advance to supervisory or management positions in health care institutions, insurance companies, or other health-focused organizations.

Core modules include: Developing a Health Care Management Perspective BUS3006, Fundamentals of Management and Leadership BUS3010, Introduction to Health Care, Wellness, and Disease BUS3025, Fundamentals of Marketing and Sales BUS3030, Fundamentals of Human Resource Management BUS3040, Fundamentals of Organizational Communication BUS3050, Fundamentals of Finance and Accounting BUS3060. Specialization courses include: - Ethics and Decision Making in Health Care BUS4121, Health Care Economics BUS4122, Quality Assurance Risk Management BUS4123, Health Care Marketing and Strategic Planning BUS4124, Legal Aspects of Health Care Management BUS4125, Health Care Information Management BUS4126, Evidence-Based Health Care Management BUS4127, Cultural Competence in Health Care BUS4128. Elective course include: 39 quarter credits of additional undergraduate courses and Capstone course to be taken during final quarter BUS4993 - Business Capstone Project - 6 quarter credits. To complete the Degree, students need 45 quarter credits in general education subject areas with a minimum of 6 quarter credits from each category. Residents of Arkansas must complete Arkansas general education requirements.

Students must have completed high school diploma or equivalent. They must be at least 24 years old. International students whose language of instruction is not English are required to take one of the following tests: the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum acceptable score of 550 on paper-based test, 213 on computer-based test with a score of 4.0 or higher on the Test of Written English (TWE), or 79 on internet based examination; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) score of 80; International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a score of 6.5; or Pearson Test of English (PTE) score of 59.
