Ringkasan program
This program combines analytical concepts as well as creative concepts that are important to competing in the global economy. Marketing opportunities demand individuals who are able to engage in analysis, planning, implementation, and control of programs in a dynamic and often unstructured environment. Graduates of UVM's Marketing concentration currently work in the following areas of the business world: consulting, advertising, public relations, product management, client management, retail, sales and market research.
Modul program
The modules are as follows: Basic Business Core (22-24 credits): MATH 019 and MATH 020; or MATH 021, EC 011 and EC 012, STAT 141, BSAD 040, BSAD 060, BSAD 061; Business Field Courses (24 credits): Quantitative Methods, BSAD 120, BSAD 132, BSAD 141, BSAD 150, BSAD 173, BSAD 180, BSAD 191; Students must have junior status and have completed the Basic Business Core before taking Business Field courses. The Quantitative Methods course is selected from among BSAD 170, BSAD 270; EC 200; or STAT 151, STAT 183, STAT 201, STAT 221, STAT 223, STAT 224, STAT 225, STAT 231, STAT 233, STAT 237 or STAT 253; Business Discipline Concentration (12 credits plus 3 additional credits): Concentration courses/requirements: BSAD 251 - Marketing Research; Plus three courses in: BSAD 153 - Consumer Behavior, BSAD 155 - Marketing Communications, BSAD 165 - Marketing Analysis and Action, BSAD 252 - Marketing Research Practicum, BSAD 256 - Retail Management, BSAD 258 - International Market Analysis. Basic General Education Core (at least 19 credits): History course (any below 100-level), English course that emphasizes practice in writing from ENGS 001, ENGS 050, ENGS 053, ENGS 120 or the First Year Honors College Seminar; Social Science from any discipline in field 3 above; Natural Science that includes a laboratory or field experience from ASTR 5 and ASTR 23; BIOL 001, BIOL 002,BIOL 003 and BIOL 096; CHEM 020, CHEM 023, CHEM 031, CHEM 035; GEOL 001, GEOL 004, GEOL 055; NR 001; PHYS 011 and PHYS 021, PHYS 031 and PHYS 021; PHYS 051, PSS 10 and PSS 95; PBIO 004; Global and Regional Studies from any discipline in field 5 above; Language or Literature from any discipline in field 6 above.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have minimum entry requirements: four years of English; three years of mathematics (Algebra I, Algebra II and geometry (or equivalents); two years of the same foreign language (American Sign Language meets this requirement); two years of a natural or physical science, including a laboratory science; three years of social sciences. International students should have a minimum acceptable TOEFL score of both 550 for the paper-based and 79-80 for the iBT and a minimum of IELTS score of 6.5 is required for admission.
