This course is designed to provide the students with the financial management, interpersonal and professional skills they need to help companies or individuals achieve optimal returns while maintaining financial and reporting integrity. Course work will provide an overview of key business areas to increase their ability to effectively partner with other functions and contribute to company's success. Elective course allows students to deepen their knowledge in areas such as international finance, risk management, entrepreneurial finance and real estate. People who choose this specialization are often pursuing entry-level or senior professional positions in finance-related occupations or industries, including banking, insurance, investment, mortgage, and brokerage firms.

Modul program

Core modules include: Developing a Business Perspective BUS3004, Fundamentals of Management and Leadership BUS3010, Fundamentals of E-Business BUS3020, Fundamentals of Marketing and Sales BUS3030, Fundamentals of Human Resource Management BUS3040, Fundamentals of Organizational Communication BUS3050 and Fundamentals of Finance and Accounting BUS3060. Specialization modules include: Foundations in Finance BUS4070, Financial Markets and Institutions BUS4071, Analysis for Financial Management BUS4072, Investments and Portfolio Management BUS4073 and Ethics and Enterprise BUS4801. In addition, students need to choose 18 quarter credits from the following courses: Entrepreneurial Finance BUS4074, Public and Nonprofit Finance BUS4075, Issues in International Finance BUS4076, Risk Management Strategies BUS4077, Financial Institution Management BUS4078 and Real Estate Finance BUS4079. Elective course include 39 quarter credits of additional undergraduate courses and Capstone course to be taken during final quarter - Business Capstone Project - 6 quarter credits BUS4993. To complete the Degree, students need 45 quarter credits in general education subject areas with a minimum of 6 quarter credits from each category. Residents of Arkansas must complete Arkansas general education requirements.

Students must have completed high school diploma or equivalent. They must be at least 24 years old. International students whose language of instruction is not English are required to take one of the following tests: the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum acceptable score of 550 on paper-based test, 213 on computer-based test with a score of 4.0 or higher on the Test of Written English (TWE), or 79 on internet based examination; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) score of 80; International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a score of 6.5; or Pearson Test of English (PTE) score of 59.
