This specialization is designed to develop knowledge and skills for serving children and youth with special needs and their families in inclusive settings or to prepare for graduate study in special education for school-aged children or related fields (e.g., social work). Coursework includes special needs and disabilities of children and youth, foundations of special education, and supports for children and youth within school, home, and community.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicant must have completed high school or secondary school with a cumulative (overall) grade point average (G.P.A.) of at least 3.0 (when converted to the U.S. 4.0 grading scale). They are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores; however, a low GPA can be offset by an SAT score of 1000 or ACT score of 21. Applicant must demonstrate English language proficiency by submitting the following test results: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores for Paper-based test (PBT) 525, Computer-based test (CBT) 197, or Internet-based test (IBT) with minimum sub scores of 16 for reading and listening, and 14 for speaking and writing or IELTS scores of 6.5 overall and minimum 6.0 in each band.
