Ringkasan program

This program is designed to prepare graduates for the professional practice of civil engineering, and for graduate study in the field. Graduates are also prepared to maintain their state-of-the-art competency in the field throughout their careers. The curriculum provides graduates with an understanding of engineering principles and current engineering techniques; education in environmental, geotechnical, structural, and transportation engineering and an understanding of the interrelationship of these areas in the practice of civil engineering; an understanding of the civil engineer’s responsibility to society for public health, safety, and a high-quality environment; and an understanding of civil engineers’ personal responsibility to participate in and contribute to civil engineering professional and community activities throughout their careers.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should have certain minimum high school unit requirements such as four years of English, three years of college preparatory mathematics (algebra II is a minimum requirement), two years of the same foreign language, three years of science (including two with a laboratory component), two years of social science including one course in U.S. history, and two electives from the above areas, arts and humanities, or computer science. In addition to this, international students should have obtained a TOEFL score of 213 or higher on computer-based, 80 or higher on internet-based; or an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher. Non-native speakers with a SAT-I verbal score of 400 or higher do not need to take the TOEFL or IELTS.
