Ringkasan program
This program prepares students to demonstrate knowledge and abilities in criminal justice and juvenile justice processes, criminology, law enforcement, law adjudication and corrections. The primary goal of this program is to prepare students to become qualified criminal justice professionals. It is designed to help meet the need for career-focused professionals with the knowledge and skills to pursue exciting opportunities in this growing area of the criminal justice industry. It can help prepare students interested in developing and advancing such interesting, in-demand career opportunities as caseworker, corrections counselor, corrections officer, juvenile counselor, parole officer, probation officer, addiction counselor, house manager (transitional facility), and group home counselor. The corrections concentration is designed to provide students with additional knowledge of the corrections system and strategies for working with offenders in various custodial settings.

The concentration courses include Penology (4.5) Credits; Administration of Criminal Justice (4.5) Credits; Prison Law (4.5) Credits; Offender Rehabilitation (4.5) Credits. The upper division core courses include Comparative Criminal Justice Systems (4.5) Credits; Crime Victim Studies (4.5) Credits; Constitutional Law (4.5) Credits; Cultural Diversity in Criminal Justice (4.5) Credits; Ethics and Criminal Justice (4.5) Credits; Criminal Justice Research Methods (4.5) Credits; Applied Statistics (4.5) Credits; Advanced Topics in Corrections (4.5) Credits; Senior Capstone in Criminal Justice (4.5) Credits; General Elective or Proseminar in Criminal Justice (4.5) Credits. The general education requirements (27 hours) include Presentation Essentials (4.5) Credits; Aspects of Psychology (4.5) Credits; Art Appreciation (4.5) Credits; Sociology (4.5) Credits; Topics in Cultural Studies (4.5) Credits; Environmental Science (4.5) Credits.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have high school completion or its equivalent. Accepted methods for the demonstration of English proficiency include but are not limited to the following: TOEFL score of 500 or higher on the paper based test, 173 or higher on the computer based test and 61 or higher on the internet based test; Advanced Placement International English Language (APIEL) score of 3 or higher; International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.5 or higher; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) score of 73 or higher; University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate Certificate of Advanced English (UCLES CAE) grade of A, B or C; University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate Certificate of Proficiency in English (UCLES CPE) grade of A, B or C; and British GCSE/Ordinary (O) or Advanced (A and AS) Level examinations in the Subject of English grade of A, B or C.
