This program prepares students to demonstrate knowledge and abilities in criminal justice and juvenile justice processes, criminology, law enforcement, law adjudication and corrections. The primary goal of this program is to prepare students to become qualified criminal justice professionals. The program is designed to help meet the need for career-focused professionals with the knowledge and skills to pursue exciting opportunities in this growing area of the criminal justice industry. It can help prepare students interested in developing and advancing such interesting, in-demand career opportunities as police officer, DEA agent, state insurance fraud investigator, homeland security agent and many others. The program features industry-relevant coursework taught by faculty members with real-world experience in the criminal justice industry. Learning from experienced instructors, students can absorb career-relevant knowledge that can immediately be applied in real-world professional situations. Instructors will cover material including the elements of investigation, including crime scenes, witnesses and evidence, investigative techniques, evidence documentation, interrogation and arrest; issues involving police ethics, police culture, and the public image of police agencies in the media; and the history and theories of crime prevention and preventative methods employed by police agencies and much more. As students progress towards the successful completion of this bachelor's degree completion program, they should be able to develop career-marketable skills, including how to demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for a vital career in criminal justice and related professions; demonstrate knowledge and understanding of law enforcement principles, including police organization, discretion, subculture and legal constraints; and demonstrate knowledge of corrections and parole, including incarceration, community-based corrections and treatment of offenders, as well as alternatives to traditional parole.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must have high school completion or its equivalent. Accepted methods for the demonstration of English proficiency include but are not limited to the following: TOEFL score of 500 or higher on the paper based test, 173 or higher on the computer based test and 61 or higher on the internet based test; Advanced Placement International English Language (APIEL) score of 3 or higher; International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.5 or higher; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) score of 73 or higher; University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate Certificate of Advanced English (UCLES CAE) grade of A, B or C; University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate Certificate of Proficiency in English (UCLES CPE) grade of A, B or C; and British GCSE/Ordinary (O) or Advanced (A and AS) Level examinations in the Subject of English grade of A, B or C.
