This program is an interdisciplinary degree designed to develop competencies in merchandising processes, consumer segments, design architecture, analytic skills, and computer skills. The competencies are fulfilled through coursework in the fields of digital retailing, merchandising, business, computer education and cognitive systems, and journalism. Digital retailing is a growth industry with exciting career opportunities. With a proliferation of virtual retailing websites, companies are seeking professionals who understand merchandising issues in a traditional and virtual format. The emerging trend of expanding businesses from the Internet to Internet-enabled portable devices further creates career opportunities for graduates who are equipped with the knowledge and practical skills of digital retailing. The classroom is extended beyond the Denton campus when students enroll in academic courses to study the New York or Dallas market centers. Study abroad programs in Hong Kong and China offer a unique three-week living and learning experience.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must have graduated from an accredited high school and strongly recommend that students take the following classes in high school. Students should have a strong ‘B’ average and have completed three units of English and two units each of solid mathematics, social science and natural science. Students should have a minimum combined SAT (combined critical reading/verbal and math) score of 1180 or ACT composite of 26. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
