The University of Vermont combines faculty-student relationships most commonly found in a small liberal arts college with the resources of a major research institution. The university is home to 10,459 undergraduates, 1,530 graduate students, 449 medical students and 1,300 full- and part-time faculty. UVM's residence halls house approximately 5,500 students on four residential campuses and Apartments: Athletic Campus, Central Campus, North Campus, and Redstone Campus. In addition to traditional residence halls, ResLife’s Apartments and Family Housing (AFH) offers 120 apartments for nontraditional students, graduate students, and students with families. In traditional residence halls the rooms may be doubles, suites, triples and, occasionally, singles. Telephones, cable and computer network hookups are standard equipment, along with beds, dressers and/or stand-up closets. Students will find study areas, kitchen facilities and recreation lounges just steps away.
