Ringkasan program
The child and family studies program prepares students to work in schools and preschools. Students learn the principles of teaching young children up to the third grade level. Students will develop skills and competencies needed for working with parents and directing programs with young children.

The following are the modules: BS with Early Childhood Education Licensure Foundation Core (17 cr.): ED/CFS 200 (3 Cr.), CFS 315 (3 Cr.), HLTH 301 (2 Cr.), HURL 497 (3 Cr.), IM 423 (3 Cr.), MATH 330 (3 Cr.); Early Education I (18 cr.); CFS 220 or 260 (3 Cr.), 421 (3 Cr.), 431 (3 Cr.), 422 (3 Cr.), 443 (3 Cr.), Early Ed Elective (3 Cr.); Early Education II (17 cr.); CFS 406 (3 Cr.), CFS 413 (3 Cr.), CFS 408 (3 Cr.), CFS/ED 428 (3 Cr.), SCI 226 (3 Cr.), PESS 388 (2 Cr.); Final Year (27 cr.); CFS 423 (3 Cr.), CFS 433 (3 Cr.), CFS 460 (6 Cr.), ED 417 (3 Cr.), ED 418 (3 Cr.), ED 419 (3 Cr.), ED 420 (6 Cr.).
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Applicants must have four years of English including composition and literature, three years of social studies including one year each of U.S. history and geography, three years of math including two years of algebra and one of geometry, two years of the same world language, one year in an area of the arts, three years of science including one year of each of a biological and physical science and one year laboratory experience. International applicants must satisfy one of the following requirements: meet the score of 61 on the internet-based TOEFL (iBT) or 500 for the Institutional (paper) TOEFL or 500 standard on International (paper) Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Apart from this they must also have 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), 70 on Michigan, SAT critical reading score of 370, graduation from an English-medium high school with a 2.5 (cumulative equivalent) GPA or higher.
