Ringkasan program

This program focuses on elementary student learning by developing the skills of the educator responsible for that learning. Student teaching is an integral component of the program. It provides students with a field-based experience at the appropriate grade and content level. Student teachers work with a cooperating teacher from a school site and with a University of Phoenix faculty advisor. The student teaching experience is designed to emphasize the achievement of state standards leading to certification and to present individuals with growth opportunities that best prepare them to assume the duties of a certified classroom teacher.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should have earned a high school diploma, GED, California High School Proficiency Examination certificate, or foreign secondary school equivalent. Students who do not currently meet this requirement can arrange to take the GED through their state GED administrator’s office or search for the nearest GED testing center. They can be currently employed. If not currently employed, they must have access to an organizational environment that allows them to apply the concepts they learn in their courses. Also they can be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or hold an approved, valid visa if attending a campus located in the United States. Students should pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC), the Berlitz Online English Proficiency Exam or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) if the student is a non-native speaker of English.
