The Department of Technology & Geomatics, a unit of the College of Business and Technology [CBAT], is one of the largest and most academically diverse units of East Tennessee State University. The Department offers undergraduate degree programs in numerous concentrations, undergraduate minors in two areas, and graduate degree programs in two concentrations. Several programs are accredited through ABET. The department's administrative and faculty offices are housed primarily in two buildings on the ETSU main campus. Through a continuously improving, multidisciplinary process of lifelong discovery, scholarship, and service, the ETSU Department of Technology and Geomatics will facilitate the translation of fundamental principles and emerging technological concepts to recruit, educate and support articulate, ethical and knowledgeable professionals.

Campus living is an integral part of the total educational experience at East Tennessee State University. On campus living offers a wealth of opportunities for residents to experience individual growth and development. The staff of the Department of Housing and Residence Life at East Tennessee State University welcomes the unique opportunity of providing residents with activities that increase their understanding of diversity and enhance their social and emotional well-being. There are numerous benefits which come from on-campus living. Residence hall facilities offer a variety of features to suit the individual needs. All rooms are equipped with Twin Beds, Mini Blinds, Closets, Chairs, Room Sinks, Desks, Storage Space with Drawers, Cable Television Hookup, Telephone Connection (student must supply telephone), Internet Access. Additional features available to most students include air conditioning. All halls have kitchen facilities, laundry facilities, carpeted hallways, vending machines, outside bicycle racks, and a common lounge/lobby area equipped with a color television. Living on campus offers more opportunities for students to meet people and develop friendships. When the cost for on-campus living is compared to transportation cost, deposits, and monthly rent for off-campus housing, the cost of living on campus is generally much lower. Students may also elect to pay semester rent and fees in three installments.
