Ringkasan program
This program provides students an opportunity to study all content areas of family and consumer sciences, including child and family studies, interior design, merchandising, nutrition and foods. The comprehensive curriculum emphasizes decision-making skills, problem solving techniques, effective communication skills, computer literacy, and professional education. Students have numerous opportunities for leadership development, teamwork, community involvement, on-the-job observation and field study experience.
Modul program
The courses are: Critical Reading and Expository Writing, Critical Reading/Argumentation, General Chemistry I, General Chemistry II, Chemistry and Well-Being, British Literature I, European Literature, Intro. To Psychology,Family Development, Freshman Seminar, Food Selection and Preparation, Historical Interiors, Introduction to Contemporary Interiors, Applied Design for Apparel and Interiors, Principles of Clothing, Design for Human Behavior, Community Nutrition, Consumer Clothing Concerns, Textiles I, Vocational FACS Curriculum and Methods, Economics and Society, Infant/Toddler/Child Dev., Adolescent Development, Marriage and the Family, The Family in Transition.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students under age 21 and have no previous college credit either ACT or SAT scores are required. The scores of TOEFL are also required. East Tennessee State University requires a total score of 61 or better for undergraduate study. They should have minimum grade point average of 2.3 on a 4.0 scales or minimum ACT composite score of 19 (or equivalent SAT score).
