The undergraduate program in the health sciences is a 4-year degree program that focuses on developing the knowledge base, skill sets and professional experiences necessary for success in health science-related fields. Students will participate in an interdisciplinary curriculum that combines coursework in the biomedical, pharmaceutical and clinical sciences, business and health care management, and health behavior. Because many students are drawn to the health care field but are often unsure of which direction may be best for them, this degree will expose students to a wide range of health care-related experiences while providing the foundational skills of a liberal education. The Health Services Management track entails additional course work or emphasis in business, marketing, pharmacy/health care administration.

Admission to Drake is selective, the admission committee considers the full record of each candidate for admission. Drake prefers students with varied talents and interests, so there is no single, inflexible set of admission standards applied to all candidates. Students should complete their secondary school for admissions into undergraduate programs. Should take the TOEFL and submit scores to Drake. If not done prior to arrival on campus, the TOEFL must be completed during the orientation session before beginning the semester. Submit documented evidence of financial support for educational expenses. Students should submit ACT or SAT scores directly from the testing agency for scholarship consideration or for admission to the pre-professional pharmacy program.
