Horticulture is the profession that nurtures, produces, installs, and maintains the built landscape, and protects, restores, and manages existing and natural landscape resources. It is built on a strong scientific foundation and includes both technical course work and hands-on learning experience. In order to broaden and deepen students knowledge and understanding of the natural and cultural world, student will also receive solid education in the liberal arts. Unique curriculum is one of the few undergraduate programs in which horticulture and landscape architecture are integrated. Graduates may find exciting professional opportunities in landscape contracting, restoration, and management; wholesale or retail nurseries; urban forestry; floriculture; public horticulture; garden restoration; horticultural therapy; and interior plantscaping. Research, teaching and extension are also rewarding areas within the horticulture profession.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students applying for this program must have completed the equivalent of an American secondary school education (usually 12 years of formal education) and have the appropriate graduation diplomas or satisfactory leaving examination results and official and original academic records from each secondary school and college or university attended. If English is not the native language students are required to take TOEFL test. A TOEFL score of at least 550 in the paper based test, 213 in the computer based test and 79 in the internet-based test are required. IELTS requirement for undergraduate applicants: 6.0 minimum.
