Ringkasan program
This program is mainly focused on the restaurant management prepares students for leadership roles in the creative, people-centered hospitality industry. Traditional business courses in accounting, economics and law are complemented by social sciences, hospitality marketing, human resources and communications, giving students a solid foundation required for any number of hospitality specialties. This program is based on "experiential learning," students must have industry experience if students hope to successfully lead, manage or direct. With this degree in hand, students will have a wealth of career options both here and abroad and will be well-prepared for post-graduate studies if students choose to continue their education. Additionally, the faculty brings significant industry experience to the classroom, adding a unique dimension that students just won't find with a general business education.

Students must meet one of the following college readiness standards in order to be eligible to be considered for admission at a Texas four-year public institution. Students must successfully complete the recommended or advanced high school program or complete the portion of the program that was available to them; or Students must meet the following criteria: rank in the top 25 per cent of their high school class, and have a minimum 1000 SAT I (critical reading and mathematics) or ACT of 21 or rank in the top 50 per cent of their high school class and have a minimum of 1500 SAT I (critical reading and mathematics) or ACT 23 or rank in the top 75 per cent of their class and have a minimum 1150 SAT I (critical reading and mathematics) or ACT 25. Students who have earned 15 or more semester credit hours at another university must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher for regular admission. They must also meet the high-school academic core requirements: four units of English, four units of mathematics (including at least algebra I, algebra II and geometry), two units of laboratory science (including at least one unit of biology, chemistry or physics) and three units of social studies. International students are required to score a minimum of 550 on the written examination, 213 on the computerized version, or 79-80 on the internet based version of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) in order to be considered for admission.
