This program offers coursework in the technologies and methods necessary to provide technical support to information technology and computer system users. The students will learn the customer support aspects of personal computer desktop software applications, computer hardware and software including diagnosis and solutions. Completion of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree program includes 45 credits in the required course of study and 15 credits in the concentration. In addition, students must satisfy general education and elective requirements to meet the 120-credit minimum (124 for Kansas students) including a minimum of 48 upper division credits required for completion of the degree. At the time of enrollment, students must choose a concentration.

Students should have earned a high school diploma, GED, California High School Proficiency Examination certificate, or foreign secondary school equivalent. Students who do not currently meet this requirement can arrange to take the GED through their state GED administrator's office or search for the nearest GED testing center. They can be currently employed. If not currently employed, they must have access to an organizational environment that allows them to apply the concepts they learn in their courses. Also they can be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or hold an approved, valid visa if attending a campus located in the United States. Students should pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC), the Berlitz Online English Proficiency Exam or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) if the student is a non-native speaker of English.
