Iowa State University adalah salah satu kolese pertama berdasarkan ‘land-grant’ yaitu bantuan pemerintah federal berupa hibah lahan kepada pemerintah negara bagian, dan menganut prinsip kesetaraan dalam hal kesempatan, pengajaran praktik, dan penyebaran pengetahuan. Uraian Tempat

The College of Business at Iowa State University conducts and shares research to educate tomorrow's business leaders so they are prepared to deal with multi-disciplinary, global, technological, ethical and diversity challenges. Although business education has been taught at Iowa State University since the early 1920s, the College of Business was not established until 1984. Its fall 2009 enrollment is 3,859 students. The college moved into the Gerdin Business Building in 2004. The 111,000-square foot building is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including high-tech laboratories that allow students and faculty to replicate real-world business situations, like securities trading and market research.

Over 8,500 Iowa State University students choose to live on-campus in residence halls and student apartments. There are three neighborhoods open all 12 months of the year including winter break. Buchanan Hall is a furnished residence hall located on the south side of campus. Rooms are designed for one or two people with two rooms sharing a bathroom. Kitchenettes are available on most floors. Frederiksen Court Apartments, located on the north side of campus, house four students of the same gender in two or four bedroom fully-furnished apartments. Each unit has a living area, kitchen, and washer/dryer. SUV Apartments, located north of Frederiksen Court, are two-bedroom units available for families or single students and are the most cost-effective on-campus housing option.
