Ringkasan program

This is an interdisciplinary academic program to help students function successfully in today’s increasingly complex international environment. They will study material from multiple disciplines, including government, economics, geography, literature, foreign language and interdisciplinary classes. They will have the opportunity to choose from among a list of prescribed classes in international political economy and other electives related to a geographic area (Latin America, Asia and the Middle East, or Europe) to fulfill degree requirements. Graduates will develop skill sets that include critical thinking, knowledge of multiple cultures, and effective communication skills. Students will be prepared for entry level analytical and administrative positions in the public, non-profit, and for profit private sectors. This degree places a greater emphasis in economics and international finance. Employment options include, but are not limited to: Careers in the diplomatic corps; Positions with international organizations including The United Nations, World Trade Organization, World Bank, and others; Positions with multinational corporations as analysts and managers.

Science (9 hours including at least one course with a substantial laboratory component); Major Requirements: 34 hours: Major Core Courses: ECON 2302 Principles of Microeconomics; ECON 3310 Intermediate Microeconomic Theory; ECON 3311 Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory; ECON 4360 International Trade; GEOG 2303 People and Place: An Introduction to World Geographic Regions; GEOG 3304 Tools for Spatial Analysis; ISSS 3349 World Resources and Development; LIT 3304 Advanced Composition; PSCI 4329 Global Politics; PSCI 4356 International Political Economy; SOC 3333 Religion in Society; Elective Requirements: 44 hours; History - Upper Division (6 hours) These courses must have a country focus other than the United States; International Political Economy (18 hours); All students are required to take at least eighteen hours of Advanced Electives from approved courses in economics, geography, political science, or sociology; Area Electives (8 hours); Foreign Language Requirement (12 hours).

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants must have completed a full, college-track high school curriculum, including language arts (4 units), mathematics (3.5 units), science (3 units of laboratory science, excluding physical science), social sciences (3 units), foreign language (2 units in a single foreign language), and fine arts (.5 unit in music, art, or drama).. International Students must have minimum TOEFL score of 550 on paper based, 213 on computer based or 80 on the internet based test, 6.5 on IELTS or 67 on PTE academic.
