This program explores all aspects of the seas, seeking to understand how the oceans, their biological communities, the solid earth, and the atmosphere interact. Marine Sciences courses are highly interdisciplinary and are available in chemical oceanography, physical oceanography, biological oceanography, coastal geology, and marine meteorology. Marine Sciences graduates can go on to become oceanographers, to manage the coastal resources, model air-sea interaction, and explore global climate change. They may conduct pure and applied research, serving as environmental consultants for industry and governmental agencies, policy and management experts for governmental agencies, and environmental science educators. Graduates with a Natural Resources degree are versed in the fundamental processes and interdisciplinary nature of the coastal zone. As scientists, managers, administrators, and regulators, they make decisions regarding use and conservation of coastal and marine resources.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should have a high school diploma or its equivalent and the following course units taken in high school: six course units in languages; four course units of mathematics; three course units in science; two course units in social studies. International students should have a minimum TOEFL score of 79 on the internet based exam, 213 on the computer-based exam, 550 or higher on the paper based exam; an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher; completion of Level 6 with a grade of B or higher on the Intensive English program are required for admission.
