Students in this track may choose to take classes in a traditional classroom setting or in part via distance education. Students are held to the same progression, retention, and dismissal policies as student in the four year baccalaureate program of study.Baccalaureate graduates are prepared to provide direct and indirect nursing care.Indiana State University's Baccalaureate Track for Licensed Practical Nurses offers vocational nurses a means through which they may complete a baccalaureate degree in nursing and achieve eligibility to apply to take the RN licensure examination.

The Applicant should not be a U.S. citizen (or U.S. permanent resident) and has no prior enrollment at a U.S. college or university. Due to the variety of educational systems throughout the world, applications are reviewed individually by Indiana State University. Consideration is given to academic potential, English language proficiency, and other evidence that the applicant has the potential for success in university studies.
