The baccalaureate degree program is recognized as the basic preparation for professional nursing practice and prepares the graduate as a generalist. Baccalaureate graduates are prepared to provide direct and indirect nursing care. The Baccalaureate Track for Registered Nurses at Indiana State University offers an alternative means through which registered nurses may complete a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Due to the variety of educational systems throughout the world, applications are reviewed individually by Indiana State University. Consideration is given to academic potential, English language proficiency, and other evidence that the applicant has the potential for success in university studies.
