Ringkasan program
The pre-engineering program at the University of Montana is a two year program that helps students determine if they are interested in engineering and prepares them to transfer to a University with an accredited engineering program. The program focuses on developing a fundamental knowledge of physics, chemistry, and mathematics. In addition, students take classes in English, communication, the social sciences, and humanities. Students in the pre-engineering program can transfer to a University of their choice, but the program has been designed as a 2 + 2 program between the University of Montana and Montana Tech.

The courses are - COMM 111A Intro to Public Speaking, ECON 111S or 112S Micro/Macroeconomics, ENEX 101 Composition, MATH 152-153 Calculus I, II, PHYS 221N-222N Fundamentals of Physics, PHYS 175 Intro to Engineering, CHEM 161N-162N College Chemistry and Laboratory, MATH 251 Calculus III, MATH 311 Ordinary Differential Equations, PHYS 295 Engineering Statics, PHYS 321 Electronics for Scientists, PHYS 301 Vector Analysis.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students applying for this program must have all the requested official English language proficiency score report. Students should have 61 iBT (173CBT/500PBT) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or 69 on the Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) or 440 on the SAT Writing Section or 18 on the Combined English/Writing section of the ACT. Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for freshman applicants or a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale for transfer applicants. The admissions office will determine grade point average if one is not available on a student's academic record. Students must have a statement of financial support that verifies that $ 25,563 will be available to the university to cover estimated costs for the academic year.
