Ringkasan program

The department of physical education offers preparation in teaching, coaching, and athletic training for students who want to become certified teachers of elementary and secondary physical education, certified athletic trainers, or coaches. Students will have the opportunity to work in small classes with faculty who are at the cutting edge of their fields. The department offers programs leading to the Bachelor of Science degree in physical education. A minor in school athletic coaching is also offered. Courses are offered in two major tracks: teacher certification in physical education and athletic training.

The Core Requirements for Athletic Training Program (24 hours): PEDU 190 - Introduction to the Description and Analysis of Human Movement, PEDU 232 - Philosophy and Principles of Physical Education, PEDU 420 - Motor Learning in Physical Education, PEDU 520 - Observational Analysis of Sports Techniques and Tactics, PEDU 570 - Human Child/Adolescent Growth, EXSC 530 - The Physiology of Muscular Activity, EXSC 530L - Physiology of Muscular Activity Lab, CLAS 230 - Medical and Scientific Terminology; Select one course from the following: HPEB 502 - Applied Aspects of Human Nutrition, HRTM 340 - Nutrition, EXSC 507 - Exercise, Sport, and Nutrition, NURS 220 - Clinical Nutrition.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants must be high school graduates or have equivalent qualification. International students whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency by obtaining minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based), 210 (computer-based) or 77 (internet-based). Applicants may also take the International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) in lieu of the TOEFL. A minimum score of 6.5 is required for the IELTS.
