Ringkasan program
This program provides a curriculum that emphasizes the use of computer simulations as a tool to visualize and understand natural phenomena. Student participation in faculty research is an important component of the program that prepares students for independent work in graduate school or industry. It also prepares students for graduate study, either in physics or in applied sciences such as optics, photonics, scientific computing, engineering, or computer science.
Modul program
The modules are courses are required for all Physics majors: PHY 170, 171, 172 (University Physics I, II, and III), PHY 270 (University Physics IV), PHY 300, 301 (Methods of Computational and Theoretical Physics I and II), MAT 260 (Multivariable Calculus I), MAT 160, 161, 162 (Calculus for Mathematics and Science Majors I, II, and III) or MAT 147, 148, 149 (Calculus with Integrated Precalculus I, II and III) or MAT 170, 171, 172 (Promath Calculus for Math and Science Majors I, II, and III), MAT 261 (Multivariable Calculus II), PHY 310 (Mechanics I), PHY 320 (Electricity and Magnetism I), PHY 342 (Computational Physics), PHY 360 (Quantum Mechanics I), PHY 390 (Applied Computational Physics Laboratory), three additional physics courses, at least one at the 300 level, as approved by a departmental advisor, CSC 261, 262 (Programming in C/C++ I and II) or CSC 211, 212 (Programming in Java I and II), three courses at the 200 or 300 level in computer science, computer graphics, or scientific data analysis and visualization as approved by a departmental advisor.

Applicants should have completed or are about to complete their secondary school education (high school) and have not taken any college or university coursework after finishing their secondary education. Applicants educated outside the US, regardless of their legal status, should have a proof of English proficiency. Applicants can prove their English proficiency by submitting any of the tests below: minimum TOEFL score of 80, no section lower than 17 (internet based), 213 (computer-based) or 550 (paper based); minimum IELTS score of 6.5; minimum SAT verbal score of 500; minimum ACT score of 18 on the reading section, and 20 on the English section and a minimum Pearson Test of English Academic score of 53.
