Gwynedd-Mercy College is a Catholic college with a strong foundation in the liberal arts. The academic distinction lies in the intersection of excellent programs in health care, education, and business administration, which prepares students to become leaders in the region’s powerful and growing life-sciences industry. Its mission is to create a learning community rooted in Gospel values and rich in the liberal arts. In an atmosphere of inquiry and dialogue, the College seeks to combine education for professional competency with the Mercy tradition of service to society. Gwynedd-Mercy College was founded in 1948 by the Sisters of Mercy, and offers more than 40 associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs on a full and part-time basis. The College is situated on 160 beautiful acres close to a variety of shops and eateries and just a short ride away to the city excitement of Philadelphia. It is a Catholic college with a strong foundation in the liberal arts and academic distinction lies in the intersection of excellent programs in health care, education, and business administration, which prepares students to become leaders in the region’s powerful and growing life-sciences industry. The College educates students in the Mercy tradition of service to society, preparing graduates who not only find jobs but also create lives and careers with deep meaning. Students enjoy a vibrant collegiate campus life highlighted by its 20 NCAA Division III men’s and women’s sports teams and opportunities to pursue interests through 30 clubs and activities. The College has four resident halls with a variety of living options, a gym and access to indoor track and outside basketball and tennis courts. There are four eateries on campus where students can grab a coffee on the run, get pizza and sandwiches or sit down to eat meals.

Living on campus can be one of the most rewarding experiences in college. Living on campus and within the GMC community is a privilege that comes with important responsibilities. The College expects all residents to adhere to all policies and procedures for the benefit of all students in order to remain in campus housing and experience this valuable opportunity. Students can choose their accommodation at Alexandria Hall, Siena Hall, St. Brigid Hall, Loyola Hall, Treweryn House. The Alexandria Hall is a new three-story building offers three different types of social accommodations and a total of 204 beds. Each floor has three study lounges and a social lounge, as well as laundry facilities and a community kitchen. Handicapped-accessible units are located on each floor and there is parking to accommodate 100 cars, and a security desk at the building’s entrance. Siena Hall offers suite-style living quarters and semi-private bathrooms with sink and vanity. The rooms are spacious and are furnished with modern, modular furniture and a unique feature of Siena Hall is the presence of full kitchen facilities on each floor. St. Brigid Hall offers suite-style living quarters in doubles and triples, and semi-private bathrooms with sink and vanity. The rooms are spacious and are furnished with modern, modular furniture and a unique feature of St. Brigid Hall is that it is the base for the Office of Campus Safety and Security. Loyola Hall is the first residence hall and popular among students for its spacious wardrobes, two-story lounges, and its strong sense of community. The three-wing complex consists of - double traditional rooms. The Treweryn House has been converted to a unique “home-style living” atmosphere while still part of the residential campus.
