This program aims to prepare high quality middle and secondary school teachers in the areas of earth and space science, general science and physics. The program requires a strong foundation in at least one science discipline with supporting expertise in mathematics as appropriate. Students graduate with an understanding of the nature of science and its complex relationship to the society in which it functions and which it serves.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicant must have completed the equivalent of an American secondary school education (usually 12 years of formal education) and have the appropriate graduation diplomas or satisfactory leaving examination results. Applicants still attending their secondary school (usually the first 12 years of schooling and equivalent to a U.S. high school) or if they have taken fewer than 15 credits (generally four to five courses or one-half year of study) at an institution of higher education after satisfactorily completing their secondary schooling can also apply. They should have grade point average of 3.0 in college-prep courses with B average. They must have obtained minimum TOEFL scores of 550 for paper-based test, 213 for computer-based test, and 79 for internet-based test; or they should have IELTS minimum score of 6.0.
