Ringkasan program
This program is designed to give certification to teach in areas of social studies in grades 6-12 by the State of Florida. Students who already have a degree may seek a second bachelor’s degree in Social Science Education or pursue a graduate degree in Social Science Education. Students may also pursue the degree while simultaneously completing a degree in an area of social studies, such as history, geography, economics, provided that they fulfill the course requirements for Social Science Education and meet the minimum requirements required by the College of Education for admission to student teaching. Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have at least a 2.5 grade point average and must take and pass the General Knowledge portion of the Florida Teacher’s Certification Examination (FTCE) as an entrance exam. They should possess the minimum critical reading score of 500 on the SAT, or 21 on the ACT English and 22 on the ACT reading, and a minimum math score of 500 on the SAT or 21 on the ACT and have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA in 6 semesters hours of approved college-level English and mathematics. Applicants whose native language is not in English and who have not studied in an English-speaking country for at least one academic year must have the minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test, 213 on the computer-based test, or 80 on the internet-based test is required for admission.
