The College of University Studies serves a dual purpose for North Dakota State University. For students not yet ready to declare a major, it provides an opportunity to take General Education courses while exploring majors and options offered by the rest of the University. Students may declare a major and transfer to that major at any time, and generally the process is completed by the sophomore year. Accommodation is provided at various halls Burgum Hall, Churchill Hall, Dinan Hall, Living Learning Center, Niskanen Hall, Pavek Hall, Reed/Johnson Halls, Seim Hall, Sevrinson Hall, Stockbridge Hall, Thompson Hall, Weible Hall. Apartments are available at Bison Court One Bedroom Unfurnished at a monthly rate of $500, Bison Court Two Bedroom, Unfurnished at a monthly rate of $680, Bison Court Studio, Unfurnished at a montly rate of $375, Niskanen Two Bedroom, One Bath, Furnished at a monthly rate of $570, Niskanen Two Bedroom, Two Bath, Furnished at a monthly rate of $670, University Village One Bedroom, Unfurnished at a monthly rate of $400, University Village Two Bedroom, Unfurnished at a monthly rate of $465. The campus has three dining facilities: West Dining Center, Residence Dining Center and a cafeteria in the Student Union.
