This school established by constitutional mandate in 1876, the University of Texas at Austin is the largest academic component of the University of Texas System and one of the top-ranked major research institutions in the country. Located near the state capital in the heart of the beautiful Central Texas Hill Country, UT-Austin is home to more than 49,000 students, including about 12,000 students enrolled in 90 different graduate programs and professional schools. The University has available some of the most extensive university research facilities in the United States, including the fifth-largest academic library and comprehensive academic computing resources.

It offers an extraordinary living and learning experience while building academic partnerships that will enrich and enable students to thrive. Clean and attractive facilities for on-campus residents, students with families, and conference participants that are affordable, secure, and well maintained. Responsible and accountable fiscal and administrative policies and services that is cost effective. The Division of Housing and Food Service is dedicated to providing quality food service to the university community. All dining venues are open to anyone who visits campus. It encourages everyone to experience the convenience and variety offered in each of its dining locations. It accept Cash, Bevo Bucks and Dine in Dollars (10%discount) and major credit cards. On-campus housing can hold more than 7,100 students. Jester Center is the largest residence hall with its capacity of 2,945. Academic enrollment exceeds the capacity of on-campus housing; as a result, most students must live in private residence halls, housing cooperatives, apartments, or with Greek organizations and other off-campus residences. The Division of Housing and Food Service, which already has the largest market share of 7,000 of the estimated 27,000 beds in the campus area, plans to expand to 9,000 beds in the near future.
