The Five-Year Program also allows students to complete their Bachelor of Business Administration and Master's degree in five years, thus reducing full-time graduate study to approximately two semesters. Students begin graduate work in their senior year with their Graduate Core Courses. The BBA and Master's Degree are awarded simultaneously after the successful completion of all requirements for both degrees.

Grade point average of 3.0/4.0 or better (our average is a 3.4/4.0). GRE test. Personal Statement. Academic IELTS: an overall band score of 6.0 with no individual score below 5.0.TOEFL: 550 on paper-based; 213 on computer-based; or 80 on Internet-based. TOEFL and IELTS scores may not be more than two years old.

The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, including the International Institute of Tourism Studies, is a world-renowned institution offering graduate, undergraduate, and certificate programs in sustainable tourism destination management, sports management, events management, and hospitality management. With over 35 years of experience, the Department is TedQual certified by the United Nations World Tourism Organization. The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management is truly ‘at the center of it all’. There is no better place for students to develop careers in tourism; hospitality; sport, event, and meeting management. Washington D.C. is home to many leading international tourism organizations, associations, meetings and events firms, sports teams, and hotel companies. In addition, outstanding, international, for-credit courses, such as ‘Olympics Games-Behind the Scenes’ and ‘International Consulting Experiences’, are offered as part of the Master of Tourism Administration program. The Department offers the following flexible and innovative programs: Masters of Tourism Administration (on-campus or distance learning); Bachelor of Business Administration (with a concentration in Sports and Events Management or Hospitality Management); Five-Year BBA/BTA Program; and Event and Tourism Professional Education (Certificate) Programs.

The University offers on-campus housing to all undergraduate students who want to live within the residence hall system. Freshmen and sophomore students are required to live in University housing. GW’s commitment to providing a complete, fulfilling undergraduate educational experience includes residence-hall programming for students in University-sponsored housing. Alternatively, the ‘interest-based’ house system allows student-residents to bring together living and learning cohorts that best serve their extracurricular interests. GW offers premium residential options for freshmen and continuing students. The 32 distinctive residential options range from traditional coed halls and apartment-style residence halls with private bathrooms to Scholars' Village townhouses for upper classmen and independent-living high-rises. Freshmen and sophomores are required to live in University housing, but GW also provides on-campus options for students who want to take advantage of the residence hall system for their entire undergraduate career. The commitment to provide a complete undergraduate educational experience includes residence hall programming for students in University-sponsored housing. The interest-based housing system allows residents to create living and learning arrangements that best serve their extracurricular interests. The residence halls include the following standard amenities: cable television, data and voice connections for each student, microwaves and refrigerators in each room, weekly housekeeping service (freshman halls only) and many halls have kitchens.
