In this program students will study a wide variety of topics dealing with those activities necessary to design the production process for creating an organization's output, to coordinate the resources required for the creation process, and to control resources utilized in the creation such that the product and/or service conforms to customers'' expectations. Specific topics covered in the OSCM professional field program include: product design, productivity, capacity planning, process design, management of technology, facility location, facility layout, work systems design, production/operations planning, production scheduling, purchasing and materials management, inventory management, materials requirements planning, maintenance, quality assurance, statistical process control, just-in-time management, total quality management, manufacturing strategy, and continuous process improvement. The curriculum is designed to provide students with an understanding of the subject matter and applications of Operations Management concepts in both goods producing and service providing organizations, a knowledge of the role of Operations Management within the total enterprise, a recognition of the importance of Operations Management to the well being of all organizations, an appreciation of the importance of a manufacturing base to our region's and country's economy, and a firm grasp of the characteristics and/or metrics required to attain and maintain world class status via operations management excellence.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must have graduated from an accredited high school and strongly recommend that students take the following classes in high school. Students should have a strong ‘B’ average and have completed three units of English and two units each of solid mathematics, social science and natural science. Students should have a minimum combined SAT (combined critical reading/verbal and math) score of 1180 or ACT composite of 26. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
