Ringkasan program
This program emphasizes intellectual, technical, and creative growth. Course work exposes students to a wide variety of photographic practices ranging from historical printing processes to contemporary web technology. Students are empowered though the development of self-discipline, cultural awareness, and personal voice. Students will take courses that will give them the conceptual and technical skills necessary to excel as a photographer including digital and traditional techniques in photography, art history, painting, sculpture, and printmaking.
Modul program
The modules include ART 3170 Computer Applications in the Visual Arts 3; ASTU 2050 Beginning Ceramics 3, ASTU 2250 Photography I 3, ASTU 2255 Photography II 3; ASTU 2210 Painting I 3 or ASTU 2417 Beginning Watercolor Painting 3; selection through entry review process; ASTU 3250 Photography III 3; selection into the photography program through the mid-point review process; 3 hours from ASTU 3305 Photography III, ASTU 3310 Printmaking: Etching, ASTU 3315 Printmaking: Monotype Printmaking, ASTU 3320 Printmaking: Screen Printing, ASTU 3330 Printmaking: Lithography or ASTU 3340 Printmaking: Relief Printmaking; AEAH 4843 History of Photography; ASTU 4260 Photography and the Web, ASTU 4270 Alternate Photographic Processes; 6 hours of ASTU 4250 Photography Studio; 3 advanced hours of art history; 3 hours from ASTU 4280 Photography: Advanced Lighting Techniques or ASTU 4290 Topics in Photography; and 12 hours (9 advanced) of art electives.

Students must have graduated from an accredited high school and strongly recommend that students take the following classes in high school. Students should have a strong ‘B’ average and have completed three units of English and two units each of solid mathematics, social science and natural science. Students should have a minimum combined SAT (combined critical reading/verbal and math) score of 1180 or ACT composite of 26. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
