Ringkasan program

The applied professional studies major is available only to students enrolled in the Career Development Program. It offers a flexible program for adults who have gained significant professional experience and/or who have earned a large number of college credits toward their particular career goal. It is designed to allow students to select courses that best fit their career plans. Rather than study in one discipline or area of focus, students focus on applied practical studies that often draw on subjects in two or more divisions. The APS major may be offered to students in all locations subject to course availability.

The modules include TECH 1110 Technology in Information Age, TECH 2000 Computer Technology: Impact and Implications, TECH 2150 Introduction to Internet Resources, TECH 4901 APS Capstone Course in Information Technology, PHIL 3010 Ethical Issues in Communication, TECH 2130 Business Applications of Microcomputers, TECH 3000 Multimedia Design, TECH 3010 Principles of Web Site Design, TECH 4050 Business Data Communication.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students who have earned CXC or O level certificates (HSC and CAPE) must provide five passing scores in academic subjects and proof of secondary school completion. Students for whom English is not their native language must be able to demonstrate adequate English skills by submitting one of the following: Proof of graduation from a U.S. regionally-accredited high school, Proof of English language proficiency with either a passing score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) 213 on the computer-based test; 550 on the paper-based test, an internet score of 79/80 or a passing score on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS*)--6.0 on the test module, SAT verbal score of 480 or above, or ACT verbal score of 20, College transcript with one "English Composition One" course at a U.S. regionally-accredited college with a grade of C or better.
