Ringkasan program
This option is concerned with the production of biomaterials (e.g. biodegradable plastics and composites), bioenergy (e.g. fuel ethanol, hydrogen and biodiesel), or biochemicals (e.g. antibiotics, pharmaceuticals and herbicides) by conversion processes working with plant, animal, or microbial biomass. This area of research involves both science and engineering. Bioproducts research creates new uses for agricultural and other materials by developing new biochemical processes for the production of sustainable fuels, renewable chemicals and bioproducts. Development and production of bioproducts and bioenergy contribute to environmental and economic sustainability. Students completing this option will be ready for challenging careers in industry, governmental agencies, consulting companies, and novel start-up companies, or for graduate programs.

Applicants must have an excellent academic record (a minimum 3. 0 on a 4.0 scale or "B" grade average or equivalent) from an accredited or recognized institution to be admitted to Oregon State University. International students must have the following GPA scores: Paper score of 550; Internet score of 80 (Minimum score of 16 on each section) and IELTS score of 6.5.
