Ringkasan program
This program is to prepare graduates for professional careers in civil engineering. A major goal is to provide civil engineering students with the best possible education toward that end within the guidelines provided by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) general criteria and the ABET program criteria for civil engineering. Within this framework, further goals are to instill in the students sensitivity to the social and humanistic implications of technology, and to motivate them to make worthwhile contributions to the profession and to society. This program ensures that students will become technically competent for the practice of civil engineering, will become knowledgeable of the natural and social context of the practice of civil engineering, will become critical thinkers and effective communicators, and will become engineers with high standards of professional ethics. This option allows students to obtain a BS in civil engineering while preparing more specifically for employment in the construction industry.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students should be a high school graduate from an accredited high school. They should have achieved an ACT score of 21 or above or an SAT (critical reading and math) of 980 or above; or ranked in the top third of the graduating class at the end of the seventh or eighth semester; or completed the precollege curriculum such as English, natural science, math, and social science. In addition to this, if international students meet the academic requirements, Kansas State University may conditionally admit them with no proof of English proficiency. English proficiency requirements for unconditional admission are transfer students from a U.S. institution must have completed both 24 credit hours at an accredited U.S. institution and English Composition I and II with grades of C or better; an IBT (Internet based TOEFL) - composite score of 79 or higher; IELTS - composite score of 6.5 or higher; ACT - English part score of 23 or higher; SAT - verbal part score of 530 or higher; PTE - Pearson Test of English - overall score of 53 or higher; Eiken (Pre-1 score); and four years attendance in a U.S. high school with grades of C or better in all college preparatory courses.
