Clemson’s School of Computing was formed from the Department of Computer Science in 2007 with a vision to be a national leader in the definition and advancement of emerging academic fields in computing through the development of successful divisions that integrate computation with the arts, sciences, and engineering. The School of Computing is key to the College of Engineering and Science’s mission of preparing students for all aspects of computing and as part of a university wide emphasis on information technology and high performance computing. We provide a diverse and rich educational environment in many areas of computing while also maintaining nationally prominent research programs in selected focus areas.

The housing of the university is surrounded by the Walker Golf Course; the James F. Martin Inn is connected to the Madren Conference Center. The 89 room four-story hotel overlooks lake Hartwell and features 27 luxurious suites and 62 spacious guest rooms, a hospitality suite, bridal suite and fitness room.
