Ringkasan program

This program is comprised of coursework related to leadership, programming, management, marketing, psychosocial, historical, philosophical, and legal aspects of sport. The student is prepared for job opportunities in athletic administration, collegiate recreation/intramural director, sports information, aquatics director, sport marketing director, sport programming, parks and recreation, and a multitude of other available opportunities. The sport studies program also prepares students for graduate studies in sport management, sport behavior, and sport science. The major consists of sport studies required courses, sport studies concentration, and guided electives. All Sport Studies students take the Sport Studies.

The modules include 5550:100 Introduction to Sport and Exercise Studies, 5550:203 Measurement and Evaluation in PE, 5550:211 First Aid and CPR, 5550:235 Concepts of Motor Dev. and Learning, 5550:245 Adapted Physical Education, 5550:362 Sport History, 5550:364 Sport Ethics, 5550:409 Sport Behavior, 5550:410 Sport Sociology, 5550:424 Sport Leadership, 5550:450 Organization and Administration of Physical Education, Coaching/Conditioning Concentration.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

International students are not required to take the SAT or the ACT for standard admission. However, these tests may be required for direct admission and scholarship consideration. Undergraduate students must achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 173 (61 Internet-based test), a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or a minimum MELAB score of 69. TOEFL, IELTS and MELAB scores are valid for two (2) years from test date. The University of Akron accepts only valid test scores.
