Ringkasan program
The BS degree (offered with the option to teach Elementary Ed or K-12) is designed to meet the requirements for teaching licensure in the state of Minnesota. Students will achieve the same oral and written proficiency as they would in the BA program with the addition of pedagogical techniques and teaching experience necessary to pursue careers in the education field.
Modul program
The following are the modules: German ELED (K-8) Major (37): 201, 202, 220, 301, 302, 450, 456; FORL 455. Electives: 9 Cr. at 300- or 400-level; ENGL 361. Students may take 3 credits outside the department in courses with a clear German focus (e.g. History, Philosophy, Art History), with prior permission of major adviser. German K-12 Major (40): 201, 202, 220, 301, 302, 450, 454; FORL 453, 455. Electives: 9 Cr. at 300- or 400-level; ENGL 361. Students may take 3 credits outside the department in courses with a clear German focus (e.g. History, Philosophy, Art History), with prior permission of major adviser.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Applicants must have four years of English including composition and literature, three years of social studies including one year each of U.S. history and geography, three years of math including two years of algebra and one of geometry, two years of the same world language, one year in an area of the arts, three years of science including one year of each of a biological and physical science and one year laboratory experience. International applicants must satisfy one of the following requirements: meet the score of 61 on the internet-based TOEFL (iBT) or 500 for the Institutional (paper) TOEFL or 500 standard on International (paper) Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Apart from this they must also have 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), 70 on Michigan, SAT critical reading score of 370, graduation from an English-medium high school with a 2.5 (cumulative equivalent) GPA or higher.
