Ringkasan program
The broadcasting sequence offers three emphases: television production, television journalism, radio. Broadcasting students learn the basic skills needed to work in television and radio while developing their own personal talents and styles as communicators. Broadcasting graduates are also taught skills in digital media and new media online convergence methods using video photography, digital editing, lighting, news writing, copywriting, interview techniques, communication ethics and broadcast regulations.

The following are the modules: Broadcasting Sequence: Core required of all majors: COMM 220, 222 (can test out), 420, 460 (10 cr.); Required for Television Journalism Emphasis: COMM 230, 241, 378, 379, 478, 479 (20 cr.); Required for Television Production Emphasis: COMM 230, 277, 373, 377, 476, 477 (20 cr.); Required for Radio Emphasis: COMM 241, 270, 373, 451 (15 cr.); Electives: Choose one from the following electives: COMM 412, 416, 418, 430, 432 (3 cr.); Choose any two COMM electives (consult with adviser) (6-8 cr.).
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Applicants must have four years of English including composition and literature, three years of social studies including one year each of U.S. history and geography, three years of math including two years of algebra and one of geometry, two years of the same world language, one year in an area of the arts, three years of science including one year of each of a biological and physical science and one year laboratory experience. International applicants must satisfy one of the following requirements: meet the score of 61 on the internet-based TOEFL (iBT) or 500 for the Institutional (paper) TOEFL or 500 standard on International (paper) Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Apart from this they must also have 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), 70 on Michigan, SAT critical reading score of 370, graduation from an English-medium high school with a 2.5 (cumulative equivalent) GPA or higher.
