This program starts with the study of cities at home: students and faculty embrace New York City as a space of complex urban ecosystems. Through the courses, projects, and creative practices we study processes of urban transformation, students explore new urban patterns and they imagine what sort of daily urban practices will bring incremental but decisive improvements in the ability to be urban. Toward this goal, the city offers students extraordinary educational, cultural, and civic opportunities simply not available elsewhere. This focus on New York City is also understood through a global lens that offers perspectives both comparative and substantively non-Western. The curriculum traces the multiple transnational links that enable students to understand the processes that have shaped the world as is, but even more importantly the world as they want it to become. Students can explore urban life and experience other cities around the world through coursework, international collaborations, and study abroad opportunities.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants whose English is not their native language should submit the TOEFL scores. Minimum score requirements are 550 for paper-based, 213 for computer-based and 79 Internet-based.
