Ringkasan program
This program is designed to provide a comprehensive graduate experience for students who wish to pursue a career in clinical audiology. The program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation for Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, and graduates will be eligible for ASHA and ABA certification and North Carolina state licensure. Since the doctorate will soon become the entry-level clinical degree for the practice of audiology, our M.S. degree in audiology has been discontinued. We continue to offer the M.S. in speech-language pathology. The primary goal is to prepare skilled clinicians, qualified to enter clinical practice that serves individuals with hearing loss and auditory disorders. Because our academic program is located in the School of Medicine with close ties to UNC Hospitals, we have unique strengths in the areas of diagnostic and pediatric audiology, hearing aids, cochlear implants, and aural habilitation. The Au.D. program is designed to focus on the development of clinical excellence in both the technical and interpersonal domains.

Applicant must have a bachelor's degree (based on a four-year curriculum) completed before graduate study begins or its international equivalent with an accredited institution an average grade of B (cumulative GPA 3.0) or better. Along with these minimal requirements, admission decisions are based on a number of factors, including academic degrees and record, written statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, test scores, and relevant work experience. For international student must submit acceptable, TOEFL scores.
