Uraian Tempat

In 1894, Tulane University was the first school in the South and the third in the United States to establish a four-year curriculum labeled Chemical Engineering. The program had it roots in Chemistry with the first curriculum being based on Industrial Chemistry. In 1895, B. P. Caldwell was the first recipient of the B.E. degree in Chemical Engineering at Tulane.

Housing and Residence Life offers a variety of housing options including theme halls, single rooms, double rooms, studios, apartments, and more. Each residence hall or apartment has unique characteristics and amenities, which allows students to choose the housing option that best suits them. Graduate students and their family members are able to apply for housing at the Papillon apartments in the Lower Garden District or at Deming Pavilion downtown. Deming Pavilion is not operated by the Department of Housing and Residence Life on the uptown campus. All residence hall rooms contain one bed per resident, one desk per resident and one desk chair per resident. In addition, depending on the residence hall, the rooms may also include some type of bookcase (or wall shelving unit), some type of small dresser per student (or a large dresser to share). Housing and Residence Life is responsible for move-able furniture inside a student's room while Facilities Services is responsible for built-in furniture or furniture attached to the wall.
