This program is designed to prepare students for early adolescence-adolescence certification in broad field science and upper-level certification in the areas of concentration. The College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science administers this interdepartmental program.

Students must have a strong academic achievements, comparable to other UW-Platteville applicants, especially in areas of mathematics, natural science (chemistry, biology or physics), social sciences and the humanities; minimum score of 500 (paper based) or 173 (computer based)or 61 (Internet) in TOEFL.
