This program prepares students for entry-level employment in accounting-related occupations. Students learn the functions of the complete accounting cycle for service, merchandising, and manufacturing businesses. Positions for which graduates of this program qualify are: Accounts receivable/payable clerk, payroll clerk, general office clerk, file clerk, record-keeping clerk, data-entry clerk. Placement into level B English or above (nonfiction reading, academic writing, and literature), science course numbered 150 or higher and Mathematics Applications for Business Technology are required.

Students must have completed Secondary School with Transcripts a minimum score of 79 in Internet Based TOEFL (iBT), 550 in Paper Based TOEFL, 213 in Computer Based TOEFL, 6.5 in IELTS. They also need to complete at least two years of high school mathematics and science, reading scores equivalent to 7.0 on the California Reading Test.

The National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) is the world's first and largest technological college for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. It is one of eight colleges of Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), a privately endowed, coeducational university that is student centered and career focused. Support and access services for deaf and hard-of-hearing students include note-takers, tutors, and the largest interpreting staff for a college program in the U.S. Instructors use a variety of communication strategies including sign language, speech, finger-spelling, writing, and visual aids. On-site audiologists provide services related to hearing and hearing aids, assistive devices and cochlear implants, and speech-language pathologists offer a broad range of speech and language services. In this technical institute Students benefit from a high-tech learning center, smart classrooms with state-of-the-art computers and multimedia technologies, computer engineering facilities, digital printing presses, laser optics lab, robotics program and fully-networked residence halls equipped with strobe light fire alarms and telephone amplifiers.

Residence Life is in this university is composed of 125 paraprofessionals (110 Resident Advisors, 17 Student Affairs administrators and 7 staff assistants). The department is composed of a central office and four (4) area offices; four (4) offices in the residence halls and one (1) apartment office. Living on campus still exerted a statistically significant positive influence on persistence and completion of the bachelor’s degree. The RIT community feeling begins in the residence halls, where engineering students live side-by-side with art students; a student from India is experiencing his first winter, living with a skier from Maine; or a hearing student and her deaf floor mate are experiencing each others' cultures. The university's residence halls are characterized by the diversity of students living there; most of them first-year RIT students. Lifestyle Floors and Special Interest Houses provide additional options for a more personalized living environment. There are five apartment complexes with 1,000 apartment and townhouses. The five complexes: Colony Manor, Perkins Green, Racquet Club, Riverknoll and the University Commons differ in layout and size.
